Jamaica Producers Group Limited, the Jamaica based banana distributor reported gross profit in the first-quarter ending on March 29 increased 5% to J$1.96 billion from J$1.86 billion a year earlier. Net income in the quarter plunged 56.9% to J$34.95 million or J$1.83 per share compared to J$81.16 million or J$5.03 per share in the year ago period.
Kingston Wharves Limited, the Jamaica-based logistics services provider reported group revenue for the third-quarter ending in March plummeted 14.7% to J$852.53 million from J$999.49 million a year ago period. Net income in the quarter dropped 17% to J$135.13 million or 9.45 cents per share compared to J$151.96 million or 10.63 cents per share a year ago earlier.
Supreme Ventures Limited, the Jamaica-based investment company reported revenue in the first-quarter ending in March surged 38.6% to J$10.27 billion from J$7.41 billion in the same quarter last year. Net income in the quarter advanced 11.6% to J$338.1 million or J$1.28 per share compared to J$303.06 million or J$1.15 per share in the year ago earlier.
