KW, RJR, GLNR, CHL Net Soar; SALF, JMMB, Supreme Ventures Net Decline

Kingston Wharves Limited, the Jamaica-based logistics services provider revenue in the first-half ending in June plummeted 11.4% to J$1.78 billion from J$2 billion a year earlier.

Net income in the period jumped 7.4% from a year ago to J$353.23 million or 24.74 cents per share compared to J$328.74 million or 56 cents per share.

Radio Jamaica Limited, the Jamaica-based broadcasting company reported revenue in the first-quarter ending in June increased 10.2% to J$485.85 million from J$440.9 million in the same year last year.

Net in the quarter surged 826.8% from a year ago to J$15.2 million or 4 cents per share compared to J$1.64 million or break even cents per share.

Proven Investments Limited, the Jamaica-based the investment company reported net interest income in the first-quarter ending in June advanced 17.3% to J$3.05 million from J$1.91 million in the same year last year.

Net profit in the quarter soared 117.6% from a year ago to J$2.25 million or 70 cents per share compared to J$1.03 million or 35 cents per share.

The Gleaner Company Limited, the Jamaica-based print media company stated revenue in the second-quarter ending in June jumped 4.9% to J$836.4 million from J$797 million a year ago period.

Net profit in the quarter surged 74.5% from a year ago to J$45.9 million or 3.79 cents per share compared to J$26.3 million or 2.17 cents per share in the year ago earlier.

Pan-Jamaican Investment Trust Limited, the Jamaica-based investment company reported revenue in the second-quarter ending in June soared 179.8% to J$123.4 million from J$44.1 million in the same quarter last year.

Net income in the quarter climbed 28.9% from a year ago to J$641 million or J$2.99 per share compared to J$497.3 million or J$2.28 per share.

Cargo Handlers Limited, the Jamaica-based port handling services provider stated revenue in the third-quarter ending June surged 32.7% to J$53.18 million from J$40.08 million a year earlier.

Net profit in the quarter jumped 39.8% to J$31.6 million or 84 cents per share compared to J$22.6 million or 60 cents per share in the year ago.

Salada Foods Jamaica Limited, the Jamaica-based coffee maker reported sales in the third-quarter ending in June dropped 4.9% to J$188.1 million from J$197.7 million in the same quarter last year.

Net income in the quarter tumbled 50% from a year ago to J$21.6 million or 21 cents per share compared to J$43.2 million or 41 cents per share.

Jamaica Money Market Brokers Limited, the Jamaica-based financial broker reported net interest income in the first-quarter ending in June climbed 14.9% to J$3.31 billion from J$2.88 billion a year earlier.

Net profit in the quarter plummeted 30.4% from a year ago to J$578.9 billion or 34 cents per share compared to J$832.2 million or 46 cents per share.

Supreme Ventures Limited, the Jamaica-based investment company reported revenue in the second-quarter ending in June climbed 14.6% to J$9.91 billion from J$8.65 billion in the same quarter last year.

Net income in the quarter declined 6.1% from a year ago to J$94.8 million or 3.60 cents per share compared to J$101 million or 3.83 cents per share.

Caribbean Cement Company Limited, the Jamaica-based cement producer reported revenue in the second-quarter quarter ending in June rose 3.2% to J$155.05 million from J$150.25 million in the last year.

Net in the quarter swung to a loss from a year ago to J$88.7 million or 10 cents per share compared to a profit of J$359.5 million or 42 cents per share.
