6:00 PM January 20, Miami – Market indexes in Jamaica declined 0.4% and in Bahamas edged lower 0.1%. Trinidad index gained a fraction. Jamaican dollar traded near its record low against the U.S. dollar and the euro.
The JSE Market Index slumped 303.53 or 0.4% to 79,619.38. The JSE Select Index fell 14.70 to close at 2,206.44.
Trinidad Composite Index rose 0.16 to 1,196.37 and Bahamas Stock Exchange Index dropped 1.74 or 0.1% to 1,513.14.
Of the 17 stocks traded on Jamaica Stock Exchange, 5 increased, 5 decreased and 7 were unchanged.
Jamaican dollar hovered near its low and average buy rate against the U.S. dollar was 105.95 and average sell rate was 106.90 according to the website of Bank of Jamaica.
In Kingston trading today, 915,436 units changed hands worth J$9.75 million and Scotia Group Jamaica led the most active list with 429,788 units followed by LIME with 343,445 units.
Desnoes and Geddes Ltd. gained 4 cents to J$5.02 and traded 21,374 and Supreme Ventures Limited added 2 cents to J$2.42 and traded 16,400. Caribbean Cement Company Ltd. jumped 29 cents to J$3.70 and traded 2,000.
Scotia Group Jamaica declined 29 cents to J$20.05 and traded 429,788 and LIME slid 1 cent 18 cents and traded 343,445. Jamaica Broilers Ltd. slumped 25 cents J$4.73 and traded 39,383.

First Citizens Bank Limited led the most active list and rose 2 cents to TT$42.99 and traded 54,628 shares followed by National Enterprises Limited added 1 cent to TT$18.01 and traded 25,000 and Guardian Holdings Limited up 1 cent to TT$13.76 and traded 6,145.
